Stripe integration & automation

One checkout for 125+ local payment methods, plus automatic tax and subscription billing

Stripe is a global payment platform: one hosted checkout accepts one-time and subscription payments through 125+ local payment methods, and Stripe itself can calculate and remit sales tax or VAT in more than 80 countries. We connect Stripe to your site or CRM and check the notification flow before launch. Support for a company registered in Ukraine is limited — we check the exact possibility for your business at the very start, before we build anything.

What we connect

  • A hosted checkout page for one-time and subscription payments, accepting more than 125 local payment methods without building a payment form from scratch.
  • Payment Links — a no-code, ready-made payment page with 40+ payment methods, automatic receipts and refunds a manager can issue straight from the dashboard, no developer involved.
  • Subscriptions — once a subscription is created, Stripe generates the invoice, collects the payment and manages its status through the whole billing lifecycle on its own.
  • Automatic sales tax and VAT handling in more than 80 countries, plus built-in support for fraud checks and disputes.
  • An automatic notification the moment a payment's status changes — we verify it's genuinely from Stripe before trusting it, and the order updates by itself instead of a manager checking the dashboard.
  • We connect Stripe to your CRM or store so a paid order changes status by itself and the right people get notified.
  • Support for a company registered in Ukraine is limited — we check the exact possibility for your business at the start of the project rather than promising an account in advance.

Automation scenarios

01

A business sells in several countries and currencies

Before a custom payment form has to be built for every currency and popular local payment method separately.

After one hosted checkout already accepts 125+ local payment methods for both one-time and subscription payments.

02

A small business needs to accept a one-off payment without a developer

Before even a single payment page requires a developer to build and host it.

After a Payment Link is a ready page created without code, already supporting 40+ payment methods, sending receipts automatically and allowing a no-code refund from the dashboard.

03

A growing business has to track sales tax in every country it sells to

Before sales tax and VAT are calculated and filed by hand, country by country, as the business grows.

After Stripe calculates and remits the tax on its own in more than 80 countries.

04

Staff need to know a payment went through without refreshing a dashboard

Before a manager checks the dashboard manually to see whether a payment cleared.

After Stripe notifies our server the instant a payment's status changes, and we confirm the notification is genuinely from Stripe before the order updates itself.

05

A subscription business charges customers by hand every month

Before a team emails every customer to collect the recurring charge, and forgetting one means a missed payment.

After once a subscription is created, Stripe generates the invoice and collects the charge automatically, and if the first attempt fails, the customer still has 23 hours to pay before anything is cancelled.

How it works technically

For those who want to check: each point links to the official documentation page it comes from.

  • The Checkout Sessions API accepts one-time and subscription payments from more than 125 local payment methods.

  • Payment Links, Stripe's no-code hosted payment page, support 40+ payment methods, send automatic receipts and allow no-code refunds directly from the dashboard.

  • Stripe Managed Payments handles the calculation and remittance of sales tax or VAT in more than 80 countries, including customer support and help with fraud and disputes.

  • Webhook authenticity is confirmed by checking the Stripe-Signature header against a signing secret issued when the endpoint is set up; the receiving server should respond quickly with a 2xx status instead of running long business logic inside the handler, and Stripe's official libraries allow a default 5-minute tolerance between the signature timestamp and server time.

  • In live mode, Stripe retries delivering an undelivered notification for up to 3 days with an exponential back-off; in test mode it retries 3 times within a few hours.

  • When a subscription is created, Stripe automatically generates invoices, attempts to collect payment and manages the subscription's status through its whole lifecycle; with automatic charging, Stripe creates an invoice with an open status and gives the customer 23 hours to pay, during which the subscription stays incomplete.

Limits

Stripe's own documentation doesn't publish one clear statement about Ukraine. What we found instead: the official Stripe Tax country list shows Ukraine only under a narrow "Digital products VAT" status, not the full "All PTCs" support level listed for some other countries; the list of countries whose platforms can open Custom Connect accounts for any supported country doesn't include Ukraine; and the Express accounts page says availability depends on the country and invites businesses from unlisted countries to contact Stripe directly. In practice: support for a company registered in Ukraine is limited, and we check the exact possibility for your specific company at the start of the project rather than promising an account in advance.

Questions

Can a company registered in Ukraine open a Stripe account?
Stripe's documentation doesn't say this outright, but several official pages point the same way: Ukraine isn't in the list of countries with full tax support, and isn't in the list of countries that can open Custom Connect accounts. Support is limited — we check the exact possibility for your company at the start of the project instead of promising it in advance.
Can Stripe charge a customer automatically every month?
Yes — once a subscription is created, Stripe generates the invoice and attempts to collect payment on its own, and manages the subscription's status through the whole billing lifecycle.
Do we need a developer to accept a single payment through Stripe?
No — a Payment Link is a ready, hosted payment page created without code. It already supports 40+ payment methods, sends receipts automatically, and a manager can issue a refund straight from the dashboard.
Does Stripe handle sales tax or VAT for us?
Yes, through Stripe Managed Payments — it calculates and remits sales tax or VAT in more than 80 countries and includes help with fraud checks and disputes.
